ENTRY LIST UPDATED
UKA AND SAL 100KM & 50KM CHAMPIONSHIPS -
Entries for the Uk and Scottish 100km road race championships at Perth on March 27th are now being taken, and are available online, and in a downloadable paper entry form.(see entry details on this site)
Perth, was the venue for the successful ultra festival last September. UK athletics ultra-distance representative Norman Wilson commented, “Perth has proved itself as a popular venue and a well-organised successful event, and I know they will put on a good show.”
Some of the top ultra runners form the UK and Ireland will converge on Perth as the event also incorporates the annual Anglo Celtic Plate home countries international as well as the Scottish 100km championships. Despite this array of talent, the event is also an open event and alongside the longer race an open 50km event will be staged which also incorporates the Scottish championships.
Race co-ordinator Adrian Stott says “The numbers competing in ultra events is at an all time high from elite runners down to mere mortals just wanting to challenge themselves and step up from the standard marathon distance. We have had many enquiries from Scotland and throughout the UK and look forward to welcoming them all to Perth On March 27th
Jan 5th 2011 - from Scottish Athletics Website:
