In this weeks Self Transcendence race, the Flying Falcon 5K, Apaguha Vesely from Czech crossed the finish line first in 17:31 followed by Mongolian runners in second and third place.

Edite Gailite from Penicuik Harriers in Scotland was the first woman in 24:13 followed by Abhejali Bernardova from Czech and Byambasuren Batsukh from Mongolia.

Prachar Stegemann from Australia has held his gold medal position on the podium for Vet 50's.

In today's Dashing Deer 5k the first runner across the line was Sarankhuu Jargal from Mongolia, who ran his race in Canberra, Australia - 18:23. He was followed by Ondrej Mocny from Prague (18:42) and Samalya Shafer from Berlin (18:50).

In the womens race, Melissa Neal from Cambridgeshire was first to cross the line in 20:50, followed by Vicky Crichton from Edinburgh (23:42) and Jana Duskova from London (23:48).

Stephen Ingledew from Edinburgh was the first Vet 50, finishing in 20:19 followed by Prachar Stegemann from Australia (22:58) and Amur Basic from Bosnia (24:22).

Elaine Battson from London was the first woman Vet 50 in 23:40, followed by Tavishi Matthews from Oslo (26:33) and Kim Owens (27:15).

Congratulations to Morna Fleming and Patricia Wilson for placing first and second in the Women Vet 60 category and to our Mongolian runners for dominating the other Vet categories.

July 20th is our Kangaroo Hop 10K in which we expect outstanding results from Down Under!

The final 2 mile race in June was won by Sadanand magee in 10:32. Tim Hely was second (10:48) and Abhinandan Willis was third (11:17).

Sophie Mullins from Fife AC was the first woman and sixth place overall in 11:58. Dhavala Stott (12:33) was second and Claire Houston (13:11) third, both running their races in Edinburgh.

In the Atlantic Ocean 2 mile race this week, Sadanand Magee from Dublin came in first in 10:47. Tim Hely from Edinburgh was second (11:03) with Samalya Schafer from Berlin in third (11:34).

The first three ladies all ran their races in Scotland. Claire Houston was first in 12:23, Dhavala Stott was second (12:27) and Amy Kerr was third (12:30).

Iain Macleod from Scotland was the first man in the Vet 50 category, and fourth overall in the race - 11:37.

In the Women Vet 60, Margaret Maloney from Brisbane came in first again, 51 seconds faster than last week. She was faster than all the men in the Vet 60 category and all the women in the Vet 50 category. Well done Margaret!

The Men Vet categories 60, 70 and 80 were all won by runners from Mongolia!

Congratulations to Jonas Lepic and Myla Love, both 9 years old. Myla was a whole minute faster this week!

Next weekend we also have our final 2 mile race, the Indian Ocean 2 Miles. The following week, the last weekend in June, will be the Arctic Relays. Find two other runners and form a team of three people. Give your team a name. Each runner will run a mile, and the combined three times will be your team result.

Our first race in June was a virtual 2 mile race - The Pacific Ocean 2 Miles.

125 runners participated with Andy Bond crossing the virtual finish line first in 10:07, followed by Robert Deacon (10:34) and Sadanand Magee (10:53).

Dhavala Stott was the first woman in 12:16, followed by Amy Kerr (12:56) and Claire Houston (12:59).

We had two under 16 runners this week, Jonas Lepic (23:42) and Myla Love (20:41) both age 9. Congratulations!

Our final race of the Virtual 5K series saw 209 competitors cross the finish line.

Stephen Fabes took first place in 16:19, followed by Marc Bromwich (16:53) and Andy Bond (16:57).

Megan De Silva won the Ladies race in 19:23, followed by Suzy Whatmough (19:25) and Claire Houston (19:47).

Over 200 runners from 22 different countries took part in the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-World Asia 5K virtual race this week.

Stephen Fabes From London’s Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets club recorded the fastest time for the second week running - 16:23, one second fastest than last week. Alastair Brockie, of Edinburgh’s Corstorphine club was 2nd in 16:47 and Marc Bromwich from Glasgow 3rd in 16:53.

Running along the shores of the Firth of Forth in Edinburgh Kathryn Kennedy, defended her first place with 19:26.  Ranelagh Harrier's Megan da Silva was 2nd in 19:50. Claire Houston of Central AC was 3rd in 19:53.

Congratulations to all 189 runners who completed the Sri Chinmoy America’s 5K. Several participants have commented that it is a source of great motivation, and they are happy to be out running and pushing themselves harder than they would.

Ross Houston came in first in 16:06, running his 5K in Edinburgh. Will the 16 minute barrier be broken in this Virtual series? Ross was inspired by his wife Claire, who was second place lady in the Sri Chinmoy Africa 5K last week. Ben Kinninmonth was second in 16:40 and third was Andy Bond in 17:04.

Suzy Whatmough recorded the fastest woman’s time of 19:11, followed by Kathryn Kennedy 19:30 and Claire Houston 20:13.

This week drew athletes from 25 different countries.

The America’s 5K took place on the same day as the 33rd anniversary of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run (see peacerun.org)

Our new series of virtual races has got off to a flying start. 135 runners from more than 15 countries completed the first race - The Africa 5K. Runners completed a 5K run on a course of their own choosing. Craig Beattie won the race in 16:26 and Emily Neilan was the fastest lady in 20:01. Congratulations to all the runners, especially Odgiiv Jadambaa from Mongolia who won the Vet 70 Mens category, followed by Mahiyan Savage from San Diego, California.
