On a warm late September evening, 236 runners completed the Kangaroo Hop 5k in Battersea Park.

Chris Palfreeman was the winner in 15:48, followed by George Potter (15:49) and Callum Zorn-Singh (15:50).

Alice Braham broke her own Vet 50 course record which she set two weeks ago, crossing the line 2 seconds faster in 17:07. She was the second woman overall.

Molly Bryan was the first woman in 16:45. In the Women's Under 50 category she was followed by Alex Gandee (17:21) and Eilidh Hide (18:08).

Congratulations to Luka Werthern-Pilch, 13 years old, who finished in 17:03.

Also, a big shout out for Janet Smith, champion hammer thrower, who finished in 35:55.

That concludes our 2026 season of races. See you all in 2027!

In the first of our Sri Chinmoy autumn 5K races, 293 runners completed the fast course in Battersea Park.

It was a mild, pleasant evening with a slight breeze. Tom O'Neill came in first in 15:13, followed by Ashley Goncalves (15:18) and Andy Barnes (15:40).

Alice Braham smashed the course record for Women Vet 50, crossing the finish line in 17:09 and finishing second woman overall. Congratulations to Alice!

Imy Briscoe won the Women's race in 17:00 followed by Holly Davies (17:33) and Francesca Stocco (17:56).

Congratulations to all our young runners. Noah Liborg, age 13, finished in 18;:07 and Isabella Stanton, age 13, finished in 18:44.

On a very warm June evening, despite the heat warnings, 213 brave souls lined up to run the Dashing Deer 5K in Battersea Park. Even though the temperature was above 30 Celcius, it was a very pleasant evening with a gentle breeze.

Fred Smithers was the first man home in 15:34 followed by Victor Lio and Matthew Haynes.

The first woman was Katie Grinyer in 17:21.

Congratulations to Serpentine and LFR who used the race as their club championships. And congratulations to everyone for a great race and staying safe in the heat.

See you at the Battersea Relays on July 21st.
