As the heavens gave a light spray to keep everyone cool, the final race in our Monday evening 2017 series began with a bumper field of 260 runners. World Championship inspiration seemed to speard to Battersea Park as every age group shone. From Zachariah Bridgeland storming home in 16.28 to claim first U16 boys and Rose Garrett flying through in 19.12 for first U16 girls, to Penny Elliot (1st V70W 25.50) and Cliff Collins (1st V80M 26.27) showing age is no barrier.

Thank you everyone who competed in our summer series, you gave us a great summer of racing splendour. Here's to 2018! But if you can't wait that long, do join us for 10K Saturday morning racing in October.
