Our course record was smashed by Scott Overall, who completed the course in 30.03. We also saw the Women's Vet 50 record fall to Marie Synnott-Wells by a minute and a half! Well done to all runners - we look forward to seeing you all in 2015.
On a cool clear morning, 110 runners completed the 10 Mile course in Battersea Park. Chris Busaileh ran alone out front and finished in 52.02. Susannah Evans completed the course in 1.05.27 to win the Ladies Race. Congratulations to Sarah Newton who won the Ladies Vet 50 race - Sarah has been running the Sri Chinmoy Races in Battersea Park for 20 years. Our final race of the year is a 10K on Saturday 29th November - starting at 8.30am. We hope to see you all there.

An amazingly mild morning saw 230 runners head to Battersea Park for an early 10K, everyone did really well and the rain held off till we were all done!
The last Monday Evening Race and the last race of the summer season was the ever exciting Relay which was won by VPH Team 1 - David Jones, Michael Channing and Tom Heslop in a combined time of 14.06. Congratulations to the Gunners Runners from Hong Kong - the first Youth team home.
As the Commonwealth Games are drawing to an end in Glasgow, 207 intrepid athletes completed the Self Transcendence 10K in Battersea Park. Kyle Marks of Belgrave Harriers won the race in 32.47. Una English of Havering AC won the Ladies Race in 39.04. Our final Monday evening race is this coming Monday 4th August. It is the relay (3 x 1 mile), so prepare your teams
In perfect race conditions 210 runners came, saw and conquered the Battersea Park 5K Self Transcendence course. Alex Milne stormed in to win the race in 15.06 with Amy Aronson winning the Ladies race in 18.24. There was an excellent turn out in the Vet categories and a very big congratulations goes to Edwin Bartlett who turned 70 on the day of the race. Edwin has attended all our races as far back as we can remember!
Our celebrity prize-giver this week was Prachar Stegemann - who has come all the way from Canberra, Australia. As well as being an accomplished athlete himself, he is also the Director of the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in Australia, who have also been putting on a plethora of races for over 3 decades. A big thank you, Prachar!
There is a 10K this coming Saturday 2nd August at 8am. Next week we have our final Monday night race of the season - the relay (Monday 4th August 7pm). We hope to see you all there.
On a warm and humid evening, 196 runners completed the 5K race. Nick Earl was the winner in 15.20 and Cathy Ansell stormed through to win the Ladies race in 17.35.
On a exquisite summer's day Scott O'Connor was the winner in today's 2 Mile race in a time of 10.19. The winner of the Women's race was 12 year old Yasmin Marghini in 12.20. Tony Tuohy came in 3rd overall and 1st in the Vet 50's in 10.30. Our next race is a 5K Race next Monday evening, 21st July.
On a cloudy, mild morning, 190 runners completed the 10K along Battersea's leafy park lanes. John Franklin ran out front alone finishing in 32.25. Alex Gounelas was way ahead of the Ladies field finishing in 37.13
After a weekend which featured the Tour de France in England, The British Grand Prix and the Wimbledon Men's Final, 141 runners turned out to the first of our summer relays. Alex Davy, Alex Bellen and Fred Slemeck came in first. Mairead O'Rourke, Hope Sloly and Kelly Thorneycroft were the first All Ladies team home.
On a rather wet evening, 156 determined runners brushed off the rain and challenged their PBs in Battersea Park. Star of the night had to be Robin Wilson, who at the sprightly age of 80 recorded 32.47.
Wimbledon is underway, the World Cup in Brazil is coming to the end of the group stage, and the Sri Chinmoy Self Transcendence Races are in full swing. Battersea Park was warm and humid this evening. Rick Weston came first in 15.27, Cathy Ansell won the Ladies Race in 17.56. Our next race 5K is next Monday 30th June. In 2 weeks time we have our first Relay: create a team of 3 (each runner runs 1 mile).
Fred Slemeck won today's 2 Mile race in 9.51. The first Lady home was Clare Elms in 11.10 - a course record for the Ladies Vet 50, CONGRATULATIONS! Tony Tuohy, another Dulwich Runner, equalled the Mens Vet 50 course record, finishing in 10.21. Our next race is a 5K Race next Monday evening, 23rd June. On Monday 7th July we have the first of our summer relays, 3 x 1 mile, so start preparing your team.
On a wonderful summer's morning after fresh ealy morning rain, 190 runners gathered in Battersea Park for the June 10K. Andy Greenleaf lead from the start, finishing in a very impressive 31.25. Alex Gounelas won the Ladies race in 37.07.
A warm, humid evening saw 189 runners complete the 5K race. Rain began to pour down with half the runners still out of the course but that didn't deter anyone! Rick Weston won the race in 15.12 and Amy Aronson won the Ladies in 18.38.
Our first 5K of the year got off to a flying start with 235 runners crossing the line on a warm summer's evening in Battersea Park. Alex Milne came first in 15.15 and all the Vet categories were well contested.
A clear sunny day saw 147 runners cross line. The lead men set out at blistering pace but no one could stay with Andy Greenleaf who stormed home in 31.22. tony Tuohy set a course record for the Men Vet 50 – Congratulations.
Fortunately, the Saharan Smog had moved on and it was yet another fine morning in Battersea Park with a hint of summer in the air. 147 runners completed the race, with a tremendous battle for first place.
Our 2014 race season got off to a flying start with Kent AC taking the first three places.
