Further to some adjustments and corrections, here are the provisional results from the Swim-Run at Filton on Easter Sunday 2019. 30 athletes took part in warm, sunny conditions that helped everyone dry out quickly on the run but perhaps felt a bit too hot on the final lap of Elm Park!

In the women's race the first three finishers were separated by only 18 seconds, with the win going to Lucy Gardner in a time of exactly 20 minutes zero seconds. Second place was Sarah Gillies in 20.14 with third place Joanne Taylor in 20.18.

Our winner in the men's race was Simon Waters in an excellent time of 16.41, with Richard Phillips (17.58) and Wayne Williams (18.23) in second and third place respectively.

As well as the trophies for the winners, medals were awarded to our fastest 50+ veterans, Sarah Gillies and Richard Phillips.

Although our usual race photographer was out of town, we do have some photos of the run and a few from the swim which we'll upload soon to: https://ukgallery.srichinmoyraces.org/Bristol

Our next race is the 2 mile run in Eastville Park on 14th May, our next multi-sport event is the Try-a-Tri / Sprint Triathlon on May 26th at Portishead Open Air Pool. See you there!

43 athletes took to the pool and the park to complete the GO TRI Swim-Run at Filton Leisure Centre / Elm Park.

Thanks to all the athletes who braved the chilly conditions and the marshals who got out there to make the race happen!

In the womens' race, Rebecca Hayward (The Triathlon Shop Racing Team) took top spot and an impressive second place overall, finishing in 16:56.

Fastest man was Raf Leszczynski, who started in the final wave and tore through the field to clock 15:31.

Photos will all be in our online gallery within a couple of days - some are uploaded already. Full results are in the attached PDF.

Our next race is the 2-Miler in Eastville Park - that's Tuesday May 15th.

Decent weather (cool but dry) saw our biggest ever turnout for the annual Swim-Run at Filton Pool. 46 athletes tackled 8 lengths of the pool and 3 laps of Elm Park. Samuel McKelvie-Warsop (Bristol North Swimming Club) took first place with a time of 15.55, going one better than his runner up position last year. First lady Rebecca Hayward (Kingswood Tri) set a new course record in her category with 16.33. The under-20 awards went to our overall winner Samuel McKelvie Warsop, and Guenevere Kiely who finished in 18.47. We haven't awarded vet prizes before, but this year we decided to honour the quickest over-50s with small trophies which went to Yvonne Cox (18.12) and Andrew Griffiths (Frampton Cotterell Harriers, 17.39).

It was great to see so many people out on the course - local triathlon club members outnumbered (as you'd expect in a GO TRI event) by a lot of athletes in their first season of multi sport racing.

Well done to everyone who took part and finished a short but challenging race.

Photos will be uploaded to http://ukgallery.srichinmoyraces.org/Bristol/ by midnight on race day so do take a look - provisional results are in the attached file.

Our Swim-Run continues to grow in popularity and we had 35 athletes taking part in the 2016 edition. We were blessed with sunny weather (if a bit cool) for the event which features a 200m swim and a 3k run taking in 3 laps of a scenic loop in Elm Park.

Winners, both of whom established new course records, were Rich Ayling (14.27) and Holly Newman (19.48), both from Avon Valley Triathletes.

A few event pictures are now online in our Races Gallery.

A cool and blustery day didn't deter 25 athletes from joining in our Swim Run event at Filton Pool. The swim was 200m and the run was 3 x 1km laps of Elm Park, the surface a mixture of field, pavement and rough paths.

All 25 managed to stay the course, completing the distance in times ranging from 14 to 31 minutes - a great set of results.

This event was part of the GO TRI 1000 initiative.

Winners were Michael Lewis (14.47) and Emily Lewis (22.55).
