31 Duathletes braved a dodgy forecast for the 34th edition of this race. Fortunately, we were rewarded with a long enough break in the rain to give us breezy but dry racing conditions, though the roads were pretty wet. Despite the conditions it was a fast race, with quick times across the board. Lots of first timers at multisport were taking this opportunity to try out Duathlon, so I hope you all had a good experience and want to do it again. Results are attached and have also been forwarded to SwimBikeRun/British Triathlon. There's also a race gallery coming together at https://ukgallery.srichinmoyraces.org/Bristol/2026.
This was my last multisport race as organiser - I started putting Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon events on with the help of my clubmates in the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team back in 2012 and we've staged over 50 events now. By my reckoning, around a thousand people have had their first experience of multisport race with us, so I'm well pleased we've been able to give them that opportunity. At this stage it's unclear if the Tockington races will carry on under new management or not, so keep an eye on the race listings for info about next summer. Our Eastville Park series of running events is definitely going ahead in 2027 and beyond.
Thanks to everyone who has been part of our multsport events today, and over the years.
Cheers
