We had showers at the start but conditions cleared up to allow our 34 duathletes to take the rather technical course at high speed. Two came close to challenging our men's course record, which is exceptional on a damp road in a swirling breeze. Times were fast from first to last with everyone finishing in under an hour. First woman to finish was Rachel Burnside in 47.14, a couple of minutes ahead of her nearest challengers Lucy Gardner (2nd) and Ali Jones (3rd). In an impressive men's race Joe Pritchard comfortably beat his previous time on the course to record an excellent 37:35, with Lee Winter 2nd just 3 seconds behind him and Chris Mills coming third with 38:46. The attached results are provisional so please contact us if you have any queries. That's all for our Bristol races this season, the Sri Chinmoy races carry on in London & Edinburgh through the winter and also throughout the world from Mongolia to Macedonia, so do check out our race website if you go off on any international travels - there might be a race at your destination! Thanks and hope to see you next year - 2019 race dates should be finalised and online before the end of September.
