Please note: We feel we have now sorted all the results issues, and the amended results have been posted. Apologies again for the glitches, and the delay in posting. If anyone feels they are still not recorded correctly, please do get in touch with us.

The annual Run and Become Self-Transcendence 5km road race at Silverknowes in Edinburgh again lived up to its reputation as the fastest in-depth 5km field in Scotland.

Callum Hawkins (Kilbarchan) set a new course record of 14 minutes 17 seconds when claiming the Scottish Athletics 5km road title. This time beat the previous record of 14:35. In doing so he helped to pull 8 other athletes under the 15 minute mark. A total of 137 runners broke the 18 minute barrier with 225 in total under 20 minutes.

Sarah Inglis (Lothian RC) claimed the women’s title in 16:25 from VP Glasgow’s Jo Moultrie with 16:43 and Fife AC's Stephanie Penyycook 3rd in 16:57.

Thanks to all the runners for supporting the event, and to all the officials and marshalls for giving their time as always.
