Results of the Sri Chinmoy 3 x 1 mile relay, The Meadows, Edinburgh - Wednesday 15th July 2026

83 teams took part in the annual Sri Chinmoy 3 x 1 mile relay at the Meadows in Edinburgh. The event is always a fun evening with local clubs treating it as a club outing, mixing up the teams to have young juniors running with masters athletes.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS FOR HELPING TO BRING ORGANISATION INTO THE CHAOTIC WORLD OF RELAYS!

Also big thanks to all the clubs for participating and making it a fun evening.

Mighty CAAC’s Fraser Smith and Fife’s Ben Kinninmonth went head to head,on leg 1, coming home together in a time of 4:32.   CAAC HQ were a few seconds back at 4.34.

On leg 2, CAAC HQ’s Blayne Wright ran a storming 4.25 to take the lead in 8.59 just ahead of Mighty CAAC  in 9.01 and Fife AC in 9.07.

On the final leg, Angus Smith went even faster clocking 4.11 to bring CAAC HQ home in 13.10,  We believe this is the fastest individual mile recorded at the relays and also the fastest cumulative team time.

2nd place, Mighty CAAC’s  Ritchie Gardiner ran 4.26 to bring them home in 13.27. Fife’s Max-Callender- Galbraith held 3rd place in 13.38 with the Saughton Stompers (EAC) 4TH in 13.58.

In the women’s race, the Queens of the Mille team were led off by Scottish Internationalist, Beth Ansell who clocked 4.48 to bring them well clear of the Aston Milers in 5.24.  On leg 2 Merce Sanchez-Oller ran a 5.13 to bring their cumulative time to 10.01 and on leg 3 Annise MacAuley-Orr brought the team home in 15.18 reocrding a lap of 5.17.
