HOUSTON HAS NO PROBLEM AS HE ROCKETS TO VICTORY   !!!!!!

 At the mile, reached in 4.48, there was a pack of 4 runners including the winners of the last 2 weeks (Ray Ward and Craig McBurney) who were joined by Ross Houston (who ran London Marathon in 2.31) and track runner Scott Pilkington.

 The women were led through the mile by Eilidh Wardlaw closely followed by her HBT clubmates, Shona McIntosh and Sula Young.   (Shona also ran London Marathon in 2:56:35)

 Houston ran a very strong second mile to win in 9.29 ahead of Ward and McBurney.      Houston's training partner, Ross Milne took 7th place having had a great debut marathon in London in a time of 2.29.  

 Ken Rankin, Falkirk Victoria made it 3 wins in a row in the male vet 50 category with a time of 11.12.  

 Eilidh Wardlaw maintained her lead to finish in 11.33 in a guddle of Trotters which included the first 3 women!

 Graham Bennison   from Fife was 1st male 60 in a time of 14.28 ahead of Norman Gould, HBT 15.29.

 With 87 runners finishing , the officials were psyching themselves up for a frantic 2 minutes scribbling!

 SPECIAL MENTION   -to Isobel Knox, having won the Scottish 50k Championship on Sunday showed no ill effects finishing 6th female in 12.36.

 SPECIAL SPECIAL MENTION to Duncan Baker who celebrated his birthday this week and bought muffins for all the runners for a post race treat!   THANK YOU DUNCAN!
