Ever thought a 6 x 400 metres track session was a killer? Well, how about 620 x 400 metres? Each September we organise a 24 Hour Track Race, in conjunction with Sri Chinmoy AC, at Tooting Bec athletics track. A selection of 45 of the UK’s most experienced and promising Ultra runners take on the physical and mental challenge of trying to keep on their feet for 24 hours, making as many loops of the track as possible. Ultra running is becoming more and more popular, and as the only permanent 24 Hour Track race in the UK we get great interest each year. If you’re wondering, 620 laps equates to 154 Miles, recorded by Scotsman, Marco Consani at our race in 2013. The race takes place each autumn at Tooting Bec Track, London. An international field line up for this well-established fixture on the UK ultra running calendar.
