On Thursday, the UCI British time trial championship will take place in Cadwell Park near Lincoln. The race will feature some of Britain's top timetriallists, such as Alex Dowsett (former world hour record holder) and Olympic gold medallist Geraint Thomas.
The race is also open to domestic based riders. Tejvan Pettinger of Sri Chinmoy Cycling Team, is entered and will start at 16.43.
The event will be covered by tv, with live streaming and highlights on British Eurosport. Details here at British Cycling website
In the past couple of weeks, Tejvan has been busy training and racing - winning two local events in the past two weeks.
Last Sun was Paul Bennett Memorial 25 mile TT organised by Hemel Hempstead. Tejvan took the win with a time of 53.42
This Sunday, Tejvan narrowly took another first place in the Eastern Counties Cycling Association 100 mile TT. In windy conditions, Tejvan recorded a time of 3.41.45
However, this Thursday will be a very different test, with the race on closed roads and attracting many high quality professional riders.
Tejvan says of the race:
"I hope I can recover from today's 100 mile race first!. But it should be a good event and I'm looking forward to it. I've been training a lot - primarily for the national 100 mile championship in July, but hopefully I can have a good ride on Thursday"
