RACE 9 SIMPLICITY v2.pdf 173.06 KB164 runners completed the 2 mile race this week. 58 runners are on track to complete all the races and acheive SUPER HERO status. Many more are still elegible for the Grand Prix and of course, everyone is welcome to compete in the final 4 races of the series.
A big welcome to Milan Javornicky from the Czech Republic who joined the series and ran 14:25. Two weeks ago he completed over 2700 miles in the Sri Chinmoy 3100 mile race.
We know that some runners have not been able to run this week because of lockdown measures.

RACE 6 PATIENCE v2.pdf 183.67 KBThis is the 6th race in our Grand Prix.
In the results you will see names highlighted in yellow and orange. Names highlighted in yellow are currently eleigible for the final Grand Prix results (they can complete at least 10 of the 13 races). Names highlighted in orange are currently eleigible for the final Grand Prix results and SUPER HERO status (they can complete all 13 races).
As well as the individual Grand Prix results there is the Grand Prix Olympics. This is a competition by nation. From the Grand Prix results, the total times of the top three men and top three women from a nation will be added together for an Olympic score. The individual Grand Prix results will be sorted by age category. Age categories do not apply in the Grand Prix Olympics.

RACE 4 HOPE v3.pdf 171.18 KBThis week 226 runners completed the 2 mile race.
It is great to see many runners from Hungary have joined the Grand Prix this week.
We are also very happy to see 3100 mile champion, Asprihanal Aalto from Finland, in the race.

Several runners from Russia and the Ukraine joined the Grand Prix series, as well as runners from Moldova, Kazakhstan, Cabo Verde and South Africa.

32 countries were represented in the second race in our Sri Chinmoy Grand Prix 2 Mile series. The results pdf includes a table showing how many runners, female and male, each country entered in this race.
The following countries are on course to be eligible for the Grand Prix Olympics, by entering at least 3 female runners and 3 male runners: Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Mongolia, Portugal and the USA. Other countres can still be eligible.
To qualify for the Grand Prix Olympics a country needs to have at least three female runners and 3 male runners in the Grand Prix final results.
To qualify for the Grand Prix, a runner must complete 10 of the 13 races.

RACE 1 PEACE.xls.pdf 140.79 KBOur first race in the Sri Chinmoy 2 Mile Grand Prix, saw 133 runners from 29 different countries cross the finish line.
Sadanand Magee from Ireland clocked the fastest time, 11:20, followed by Apaguha from Czech 11:24 and Laurence Duffy from Great Britain 11:29.
Dhavala Stott from Great Britain was the first woman to cross the line, 12:43, followed by Jayasalini from Russia 13:53 and Vinati from Slovakia 14:48.
To qualify for the Grand Prix, runners must complete at least 10 of the 13 races.
Countries will also be competing for the Grand Prix Olympics. From the Grand Prix results, the times for the fastest three men and the fastest three women from a particular country will be added together (regardless of age category) for the Grand Prix Olympics. Several countries need to find more runners to qualify for the Grand Prix Olympics.
The next race is LOVE - be sure to register for each race in advance.

A BIG congratulations to Sarankhuu Jargal from Mongolia who takes first prize. In fact, the first three men in the Grand Prix are all from Mongolia!
Margaret Maloney from Brisbane in Australia, 61 years of age, was the first woman in the Grand Prix. Incredible!
It was a clean sweep for Australia in the Vet 50 category, with Prachar Stegmann winning the Men V50 and Tavishi Matthews winning the Women V50.
Hats off to all our Mongolian runners, especially to Batsukh Sharav who was first in the Men V60 and Batnasan Vanchindorj who was first in the Women V70.
Once again, gratitude to you all for your enthusiastic participation and heroic effort!

Virtual Silver Starling.xls.pdf 126.16 KBOur final race of the Self Transcendence series, the Silver Starling 10K, was won by Ondrej Mocny from the Czech Republic in 38 minutes. Sarankhuu from Mongolia was second in 40:29 followed by Atul from Brisbane, Australia in 41:40.
The first woman was Margaret Maloney from Australia, in 49:45. Margaret was also first in last weeks race, the Raid Rabbit 5K (vet 60 Category winner and overall winner). Abhejali was second in 52:30. Byambasuren from Mongolia was third in 54:30.
The Grand Prix results are ready and will be published alonside these results.
Our gratitude to all runners for their enthusiastic participation. Good luck to all those of you competing in the upcoming Sri Chinmoy Marathon.
